Melissa LaChance

Melissa LaChance is Managing Director and Global Head of User Experience Design and Research for Morgan Stanley. Melissa (Mel) focuses her group on collaboration, with an end to end creative process that aligns user needs with business strategy and agile development, to increase satisfaction, productivity, and digital adoption across our user groups. When Mel joined Morgan Stanley in 2016, she was the sole UX practitioner for the Wealth Management Client Experience. Now at 200+ team members, the size and scope of the now firmwide Morgan Stanley UX Design and Research team have grown exponentially in a short time under her watch. Mel resides in both Brooklyn and in the Catskills alongside her husband and two cats. When she is not renovating her farmhouse and befriending local wildlife, she can be found putting her Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas to work, painting and creating sculpture.
