Annual Summit

The Annual Summit 2025 brings together the world’s top companies and design executives to define futures, reimagine leadership, and rethink enterprise value creation in the AI era.

September 25-27, 2025

SAN FRANCISCO

In 2024, we gathered the design executives representing some of the world's largest companies to explore the future of design leadership. We will continue that endeavor and build on it this September.

Overview

Our Annual Summit 2025, Defining Futures, Reimagining Roles, brings together senior design executives to confront how the AI era is transforming industries, leadership, and the very nature of enterprise value. We’ll examine the forces reshaping markets, the expanding mandate of design leadership, and the capabilities needed to compete—and lead—at the highest level.

Over three days and two nights, leading design chiefs will explore how these forces are redefining the role of design executives and their teams. Together, they will reimagine the roles, strategies, and practices needed to thrive in this new era—emerging with a clear, actionable agenda to drive impact in the year ahead.

This year, over 30 members gather in the heart of Silicon Valley on September 25 - 27.

Defining Futures and Scenarios

We’ll explore bold possibilities for how the AI era will reshape industries, work, and society. This theme examines shifting business imperatives, workforce transformation, and market forces—then uses them to chart scenarios that guide strategic foresight for the decade ahead.

Reimagining Roles and Leadership

We’ll look at how design executives are expanding leadership beyond traditional boundaries—shaping revenue strategy, driving operational excellence, leading culture change, and advancing next-generation AI products. The focus is on equipping leaders to influence across the enterprise and redefine strategic design leadership.

Rethinking Value Creation in the AI Era

These discussions will challenge participants to rethink how value is created and delivered. Through case studies and peer exchange, members will explore how aligning design, technology, and business strategy enables the creation of systems, experiences, and capabilities that deliver measurable returns, strengthen competitive advantage, and create lasting human value.

“It was incredible to get to spend some valuable time, both socially and professionally, with other leaders of design functions in different industries.

It’s pretty rare to be able to bring together this type of group, and I look forward to future interactions, both with this group and other members.

Most importantly, we have the opportunity to influence the industry and possibly businesses, as they come to understand the value of design more accurately.”
