Design Leadership Playbook

In November 2025, senior design executives   gathered in New York City for our roundtable exploring how AI is reshaping product development, and what it means to lead in a high-pressure, “wartime” business environment.

Hosted by Rachel Been (Expedia), the discussion focused on how design executives are adapting in real time as traditional processes, roles, and boundaries rapidly shift.

Members reflected on the growing need to scale design’s value across the enterprise, moving beyond traditional functional definitions toward a more expansive model of experience leadership.
