As the Design Executive Council enters its next phase of growth, we’ve expanded our Board of Advisors to help guide the organization through greater scale, deeper enterprise engagement, and the evolving role of design and experience leadership. Over the past three years, the Board has played a critical role in shaping the Council’s direction and establishing its standing among corporate design executives and the broader business community.
I’m pleased to welcome three new advisors to the Design Executive Council’s Board of Advisors.
- Heather Winkle, VP of Digital Experience at Delta Air Lines
- Purvi Shah, VP of UX Design, Research & Accessibility at Target
- Matthew Menz, VP of Customer Experience, AWS at Amazon

They join the Council's existing Board of Advisors:
- Arin Bhowmick, Chief Design Officer at SAP
- Kaaren Hanson, VP of User Experience at Insulet Corporation
- Christina Goldschmidt, VP of Product Design at Warner Music Group

Together, this advisory board brings first hand experience leading design and experience organizations at global scale, across regulated industries, complex technology platforms, and enterprise environments. This board expansion reflects the Council’s evolution into a multi-tier membership platform—Council, Enterprise, and Forum—designed to support members as they shape experience strategy, and advance the strategic role of design leadership in the AI era.
As our membership grows to serve leaders with different scopes of responsibility and influence, this board will help ensure we remain grounded in enterprise reality while advancing the strategic role of design and experience leadership at the highest levels of business.
I'm also grateful to Benedikt Lehnert and Matthew Holloway as they conclude three years of service as Board Advisors. Their early guidance helped establish the foundation on which the Council continues to build.
