Alex Hsiao

VP of Product Design

As the Vice President of Product Design at CNN, he leads the global product design and user experience initiatives across CNN's owned and third-party platforms, including mobile, web, video, OTTs, and emerging platforms. He is responsible for delivering engaging and user-centric solutions that enhance CNN's brand, content, and audience reach.

He has over 20 years of experience in the media, entertainment, and technology industries, working with some of the world's most respected companies such as Netflix, Verizon, Marriott International, IAC, PwC, Intuit, and creating innovative and impactful digital media products and services. He is also the CEO of Perphic, his own design and technology company, and an advisor and founding partner at Versed LLC, a design and innovation consultancy. He is passionate about fusing design first thinking and business strategy, and has won multiple awards and recognitions for his work, such as The Webby Awards Nominees, PC Magazine Top 100 Website, CommArts Site of the Day, and Horizon Interactive Awards in various categories. He holds a BA in Design from American University, and completed the NAMIC Executive Leadership Development Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
