Andrew Ackermann

Andrew Ackermann is a design leader with more than two decades of experience building products and teams across some of technology's most demanding environments. Currently, Andrew is the VP of Design at Mercury, where he leads product design for the fintech platform that serves startups and small businesses. Before Mercury, he spent seven years at Samsara, the operating system for operations and logistics, where he led the product design team's evolution into AI-first design.

Under his leadership, design became a direct driver of top-line growth, anchoring the company's marquee launches at its annual Beyond customer conference and shaping an ambitious AI roadmap spanning AI safety programs, voice-powered experiences, and always-on operational intelligence. Earlier in his career, Andrew held three roles at Google—across Creative Lab, ATAP, and Maps & Search, where he built tools for local merchants. Before moving directly into technology, he spent a decade honing his craft at studios and agencies.
