
Jason Broughton is Chief Design Officer at Elsevier and LexisNexis, part of RELX Group (LSE: REL), the world's leading information and analytics company, where he leads UX Design, User Research, and Global Digital Web. He oversees a global organization of 400+ designers, researchers, and product managers in 20 countries, driving user-centered design, innovation, and the responsible application of AI and generative AI at scale.
Jason is known for building world-class design organizations that align design, technology, and business strategy to deliver measurable financial impact. He is a passionate advocate for accessibility and inclusive design, embedding accessibility into product strategy and design systems, and leading the global Accessibility Employee Resource Group to advance awareness and action across the enterprise.
Prior to LexisNexis, Jason led UX, Analytics, and Creative Services at Zappos.com (Amazon) during a period of peak NPS and record profitability, and previously led Global Design at Active Network. Earlier in his career, he designed the original interface for the Wayback Machine, worked with the Library of Congress, and contributed to products including Alexa and A9 at Amazon.
