Mary is the VP of Product Design at Cisco Networking, overseeing design, content, and research teams that shape enterprise user experiences for Cisco's largest revenue-generating business unit.
Since joining Cisco in 2020, she and her team have increased the impact of product design within Cisco by infusing a user-centered approach into the product development process, informing Cisco’s convergence product strategy through design thinking methods and North Star design, and driving product unification through the adoption of an enterprise design system across Cisco’s suite of products for IT professionals. Prior to Cisco, Mary led design at State Farm's innovation lab, where she helped invent behavior-based insurance products. She previously worked in consulting, focusing on service design and innovation for global brands including Target, Netflix, Fidelity, PayPal, and T-Mobile.
Mary's curiosity, adaptability, and courage enable her to navigate constant change in enterprise technology, inspiring her teams to shift from traditional enterprise design toward more dynamic, intelligent user experiences. Outside of work, Mary enjoys running in the hills of the Bay Area, baking delicate delights such as macarons, attempting to ace her Mom job, and swaying to the beats of electric synth-pop and darkwave music.
