Gavin Wignall

Gavin Wignall is Senior Director and Head of Design Systems at Bentley Systems. He leads StrataKit, an open source, accessible-first design system for data-dense environments, supporting a community of over 100 design professionals working alongside more than 2,000 engineers across a 200+ product ecosystem. A recognized voice in agentic design systems, he is actively shaping how AI tools and intelligent workflows are integrated into enterprise design practice.

With over 25 years of design leadership experience, Gavin spent seven years at BCG Gamma, rising to Global Head of UX Design and building the function across four continents and eight offices to deliver AI and data-driven solutions for global clients. Before that, he led interaction design at Thomson Reuters, building the Eikon platform's design system for over 150,000 financial professionals. He is also co-founder of ConversAgentAI, an AI retail startup, and founder of 8 Monkeys, a design consultancy. At the heart of his work is a belief in people: empowering individuals to do their best work and inspiring the confidence that helps teams achieve more than they imagined.
