Larkin Brown is the Senior Director of Product Research at Pinterest, where she leads a team of qualitative and quantitative researchers covering the full breadth of the business, from the consumer experience to the advertiser platform. Her team helps shape the vision for how millions of Pinners around the world discover, save, and act on the ideas that matter to them.
As a founding member of Pinterest's inclusive product team, Larkin helped spearhead industry-first features including skin tone ranges, hair pattern and body type search filters, and digital wellbeing measurement, work that set a new bar for how technology platforms can help people see themselves represented online. Her work and perspective have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, Wired, Forbes, Glamour, Vogue, and on the TODAY Show, among others.
Larkin studied Communication and Psychology at Northwestern University, where she was also a research contributor to the SONIC Lab (Science of Networks in Communities), an interdisciplinary research group focused on how knowledge and connection form and perform across communities.
Outside of Pinterest, she moonlights as a freelance stylist and chases around her young children.
